Old Chestnut Inn and Gardens

The Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy's principle location and training center is located at the Old Chestnut Inn in Kent, CT. The Inn is an Adirondack style chestnut lodge with comfortable seating for 20 people around a large fireplace. The dining area is decorated with locally crafted Shaker furniture. In summer meals are often served on an outdoor porch overlooking the pond, fields, and forest. The shared bedrooms are rustic and comfortable.

Meals at the Old Chestnut Inn are caringly prepared by a professional chef. The food is wholesome, gourmet style and includes traditional American as well as many international dishes. Wines are specially selected to complement dinners. Special meals, such as vegan or kosher, are prepared on written request.

Recreational activities include swimming in the spring-fed pond (ice skating in winter), volleyball, strolling the private woodland trails, hiking and bicycling the nearby Appalachian Trail, enjoying the flower gardens and secluded wooded retreats that offer places for meditation and quiet conversation.
