Advanced Didactic Course on the Theory and Methods of Integrative Psychotherapyy

Bilbao, Spain

This advanced didactic training course will meet for two 5 day sessions in September of 2009 and 2010. The formal lectures and discussions will focus on advanced clinical topics in Integrative Psychotherapy. Concepts that will be covered in this Advanced course are: the psychotherapy of obsessing, habitual worrying and repetitive fantasizing; the treatment of disocciation and the schizoid process; the psychotherapy of shame and self-righteousness, the psychotherapy of unconscious conclusions and physiological survival reactions and the methods useful in the treatment of psychological regression, intrapsychic conflicts and introjections. Participants will be expected to present cases from their own clinical practices for discussion and supervision. This Advanced course will provide 60 hours towards certification as an Integrative Psychotherapist by the Training and Standards Commission of the International Integrative Psychotherapy Association. A certificate of continuing education will be issued to those who complete the two year series.

This workshop will take place near Bilbao, Spain. The course language will be English with Spanish translation.
