This series of 5 Relational Group Psychotherapy sessions is for mental health professionals who want to enhance their own effectiveness through identifying contact interruptions, script beliefs, and unconscious restrictions in forming interpersonal relationships. The workshop will provide an opportunity to be actively involved in a Psychotherapy Group that emphasizes Relational Group Process. It will also provide a forum to discuss the theory and methods of a relationally-oriented group psychotherapy.

Richard and Amaia will focus on enhancing relationships via the full involvement of each group member. Emphasis will be placed on facilitating the healing of relational disruptions that may have occurred in school, the family, with peers, and in previous group settings. We will explore the various characteristics of the transferential process that may occur in groups and the importance of ongoing interpersonal contact.
