Psychotherapy of Shame and Arrogance
Richard G. Erskine, PhD.
18:00 to 21:00 European time
In this 2-session Zoom Seminar Dr. Erskine will provide some formal teaching, therapy cases, and group discussion on the concept of shame and arrogance. We will explore intrapsychic functions, the psychodynamic interplay between cognition and emotions, and the archaic self-protective functions designed to cope with hu-miliation and criticism. The relational therapy methods of phenomenological in-quiry, affective and developmental attunement, validation, normalization, and presence will be emphasized.
You are invited to present cases from your own practice for a professional group discussion and supervision.
