Psychothérapie Intégrative: Formations et ateliers
Relational Group Process:
Theory into Practice
Richard G. Erskine, PhD.
Sponsored by UK Relational Psychotherapy Association
3 hours each evening
17:00 to 20:00 UK Time; 6pm to 9pm European time
This professional development workshop has three objectives:
• First it is designed for psychotherapist and counsellor who want a forum in which they can discuss their personal concerns and receive a therapeutic response from a small group of professional colleagues;
• second, it will provide the psychotherapist or consular with an opportunity to discuss the theory and methods of a Relationally-oriented Group Psychotherapy;
• third, it will provide an opportunity to be actively involved in a Relational Group Process and learn through the therapeutic experience.
Dr. Erskine will focus on enhancing relationships via the full involvement of each group member. Emphasis will be placed on facilitating the healing of relational-disruptions that may have occurred in school, the family, with peers, and in previous group settings.
Richard Erskine will draw on the history and theory of group psychotherapy. He will outline the advantages and disadvantages of group therapy and the models of "therapy by the group", "therapy in the group" and "therapy though the group process". We will explore the various characteristics of the transferential process that may occur in groups.
